The three excavators of SRs 1200 type are operating in Troyanovo-North Mine. These excavators were designed in 1936 and commissioned in the early 60s of the last century and their life resource was depleted more than 20 years ago. The three excavators of SRs 1200 type are unreliable, outdated and physically obsolete and shall be replaced by a new excavator with an advanced, state-of-the-art operation design, as well as technical parameters similar to those of the excavator of SRs 2000 type.
SRs 1200 type excavators are typically connected to the grid through substations and 6 kV power lines. The new excavator of SRs 2000 will be connected directly to 20 kV power lines which would result in less transmission losses and smaller power line cross-section.
Replacing the three bucket-wheel excavators of SRs 1200 type by a new excavator of SRs 2000 type will remove four drive conveyor belt systems with installed capacity of 1825 kW each, which will result in significant amount of energy savings.
The new excavator of SRs 2000 type itself will have a theoretical output of 6000 m3/h and will operate with rubber-belt conveyor. As per the coalfield conditions it will excavate from the face a block’s width - ≥ 50 m, height - ≥ 22 m and length - average 3,5 km; excavation depth - 5 m.
Purchase of a new SRs-200 excavator for the secondary removal of 50 mln m3 overburden from the internal dump sites
Commissioning of the new generating power capacity at TPP AES Galabovo requires an increase of the MME lignite coal extraction. This can be achieved by the acceleration of the overburden removal from Troyanovo-1 Mine with a new excavator of SRs-200 type.
The operation of a new SRs-200 excavator related to the removal of landmass out of overburden from Troyanovo-1 Mine shall be the following:
The new excavator of SRs 200 type will have a theoretical output of 1300 m3/h and will operate with rubber-belt conveyor. As per the coalfield conditions it will excavate from the face a block of width - ≥ 27 m, height - ≥ 8 m and length - average 2 km; excavation depth - 1 m.
